Kentucky Regional Prevention Centers

There are 14 Regional Prevention Centers (RPCs) throughout the state that work to build the capacity of local communities to prevent alcohol, tobacco and other drug-related problems, and behavioral health problems, among citizens of all ages. Find yours by searching by county at the above link.

Kentucky’s Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) is responsible for the administration of state and federally funded mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services throughout the commonwealth. The KIP Survey is administered through the Division’s Prevention and Promotion Branch. The Prevention and Promotion Branch works in coordination with the RPCs to prevent substance use and misuse, prevent suicide, and promote mental health on a statewide level.

Kentucky Data Warehouse for Substance Abuse Prevention

Kentucky’s Data Warehouse for Substance Abuse Prevention, supported by DBH’s Prevention and Promotion Branch, is an interactive data repository of more than 200 county-level indicators related to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, and behavioral health. The Data Warehouse allows users to produce custom charts, graphs, and maps.

Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center’s Drug Overdose Technical Assistance Core (DOTAC)

The Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC), with support from CDC Prevention for States funding, manages the Drug Overdose Technical Assistance Core (DOTAC), which provides the most recent local data on drug overdose trends.
