KIP raw data from online surveys and from scanned paper surveys is sent to Dr. Sanders for the data-cleaning, the merging of the hundreds of files, the coding & updating of the software code for making sets of cross-tabulations, and the production of sets of cross-tabulations for the state as a whole, for each district, and for various groups of districts. These sets show how the students, by grade, replied to the 192 questions on the survey. Dr. Sanders also handles special requests for non-standard compilations of KIP data, for example, for grant applications or for research.
